Our Education

Introducing Care Bears Babies for Ages 3-12 Months!

At our Care Bears. Rooms. We prepare and teach our new generations, the basic human skills to face the world. Teach them to interact with other Mini Human bears, with the everyday growing challenges they are facing..

"Smurfies for Toddlers: A fun and educational experience for 1-2 year olds!"

Children change so much all the time and the words “everything’s a phase” is something that has come out of every sleep-deprived parent’s mouth at some point.

But the switch from baby to toddler – which happens around after the age of one – opens up a whole new world for children and their long-suffering parents.

It’s between these two birthdays that children typically learn how to walk and talk; and their personalities start to emerge. There’s a lot going on in their brains as they’re taking in the world around them and learning new things every day.

Minions 3-4 years Gr RRR

At around age 3, children go through important developmental stages:

  • Imagination and language skills: They start making up stories, using more words, and building relationships.
  • Learning right from wrong: They begin to understand rules and manage their feelings.
  • Language development: They can use sentences of 3-5 words and have short conversations3.
  • Developmental milestones: These include motor skills, language development, cognitive skills, and social and emotional skills4.

"Your Child to Lion Kings 4-5 Years in Gr RR"

  • At 4-5 years, children express many emotions, make new friends and play make-believe games.
  • Preschoolers also enjoy numbers, tall stories and physical activity.
  • Activities that are good for development include reading, creative play, indoor and outdoor play, turn-taking games and cooking.
  • Speak with your GP or child and family health nurse if you’re concerned about your child’s development or you need support.
  • At 4-5 years old, a child suddenly seems more like a little person than a baby (cue the happy tears). They’re more imaginative, creative, and energetic than ever before, and you’ll notice that they’ve started to develop strong preferences for specific things. Gone are the days of just rolling a ball around or being fascinated by their face in a mirror. Four-year-olds want to engage in imaginative play where they can act out everyday scenarios, wear dress-up clothes while pretending to be someone else and stimulate their growing brains by building tiny villages with blocks. This is also the age where they start to play with others instead of just beside them, so it’s an exciting time for building relationships. The best toys for 4-year-olds are going to be fun and educational, as well as made with their development in mind.

Active Playing

Hand-eye and body coordination helps us effectively and efficiently use our hands based on what we see and must do. It involves a three-step process: Eyes – Identify details relevant to the task. Brain – Process what the eyes see and send instructions to the body.

Learning

Our learning program is subjected to the SA Childcare Association.

They are the leaders in the Childcare world.

They regulate: Nursery schools and Schools at the Department of Education.

Also assist with the registration procedures, assistance with educational guidelines and material in accordance with the department of education

Die variëteite van Afrikaans as draers van identiteit: ’n Sosiokulturele perspektief:

Daardeur Identifiseer ons, onself  twee amptelike tale Afrikaans en Engels

The varieties of Afrikaans as identity bearers: A sociocultural perspective:

By doing so we identify, ourselves, two official languages Afrikaans and English

Home made food

Our own Home-made food is being loved by the children. prepared by our very own Kitchen management, in a very clean and healthy manner.

Therefore, we change the menu on a daily basis, so being doing that the children did not get bored with the same routine of food. They also love our Morning Fruit snacks the afternoon surprises as well.

We also take extreme care of any allergies and food that is not proper for some special needs.

  • General:

  • Half day children must be collected between 12h30 and 13h00
  • Resting time is between 12h15 and 14h15
  • Children are not allowed to bring any toys, money and valuable items to school with them.
  • Please dress your child in comfortable old clothing. Messy playing is a part of the curriculum, and we play outside daily.
  • We are dependent on parent’s donations of old used materials including paper, wool, cardboard, toilet rolls, newspaper, magazines etc.

Potty training:

  • Please don’t place pressure on your child it will delay the process.
  • We start with the oldest children in the group that are already 2 years old
  • You will receive more information when we start the programmed.
  • Please follow the same process at home
  • Please send 3- 5 sets of clothing during the potty training

This is a very important phase of the child’s development therefore it must be done without any pressure to the child and with plenty of patience. Our staff are experienced and patient.

Children should be potty trained by the age of 3 years old.

Sick children:

We request the assistance of parents in order to avoid infections spreading:

Eye infection   -           Doctors note to confirm that it is not infectious

Diarrhea          _          Child must stay at home until well

Lice      _          Child must stay at home until hair is lice free

Worms            _          Children should be dewormed as prescribed

Sick at school -   Should the child get sick at school the parents will be contacted to collect.

Medication      -           There is a medication register at reception that is to be completed by the parents if the teacher is required to dispense mediation.

Payment of school fees and late payments:

Registration fee is payable upon register your child.

The parent that is responsible for payment of fees will also be responsible for any legal costs incurred should the account be handed over for collection.

School fees increase each January

Late and non-payments place the school under unnecessary financial pressure and will attract a 5% levy on outstanding/late accounts.

School fees are payable in advance and are to be paid by the 1st of every month for the month.

Should the child not attend school due to illness or any reason whatsoever, the school fees are still due and payable.
